Lemanis named Aust men's basketball coach
Andrej Lemanis has been named as the new head coach of the Australian Boomers men's basketball team.
The 44yearold starts the job fresh from securing a third consecutive National Basketball League championship with the New Zealand Breakers, only the second coach in the league's history to do so.
As part of the new fulltime role, Lemanis will also become head of the men's program at the Basketball Australia National Centre of Excellence at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra, Basketball Australia said in a statement on Wednesday.
