I went on a Contiki tour two years ago when I was 30, and found that it was very rushed (no more than 1 to 1.5 days in each country of a 10 day tour of Europe), the emphasis seemed to be on the coach pulling into the carpark at the hotel and everyone making a beeline for the bar to get drunk, and feeling like a social pariah because I wanted to enjoy the sights rather than party, party, party and get drunk every night.
Contiki is great for people who are young, love partying, enjoy drinking, and who like spending the majority of their time on a coach being herded around like sheep. I haven been with any other organised tour groups, but I prefer travelling independently and spending time seeing the sights that I want to see, and enjoying the trip instead of waking up with a hangover every day. The choice for breakfast was often toast and boiled eggs, and trust me, you get tired of boiled eggs after 10 days on tour.
The other thing on Contiki is that you in shared rooms if you stay in hotels, and often you only given one key between four people. The Greek Isles Trip is by far the most laid back of the three. There is plenty of free time at every island and it does not feel like structured tour. It was my favorite of the three and I would highly recommend it.
